Does this happen to you?

Grrrr.

I'm feeling a little grumpy.

A little bit grouchy.

Ya know why?

Because I haven't been able to spend even ONE minute on my quilt-y stuff this weekend! (Grin)

If I had a grumpy-meter, or a grouchometer, I bet it would look like this:

Tell me, do you ever feel this way?

I sure hope that I can find some time for fun soon!!

Love,

  2. I haven't been able to do any sewing for a couple since surgery on the 2nd. Started doing a little crochet though but it isn't the same. See the doc on Wed and hope to find out when I can start working that arm more.

  3. Hi Snoodles. I know exactly how you feel...and you shouldn't apologize for it either. My family can tell when I haven't had much creative time in my "room".

  4. I know what you mean- that will be me next weekend as I'm away. However I got lots done this weekend, so with that logic, hopefully you will get loads done next weekend to balance it out!

  7. Oh. My. Gosh! Was I ever feeling off-kilter with this move - between moving ourselves from the interim apartment to the house, two girls to distant colleges, unpacking enough to live while madly catching up my own schoolwork, it hit about 5 weeks running when I didn't get to do a STITCH of my quilt work. I was going nuts!! Needless to say, getting some sewing time back into my days took priority over getting entirely unpacked in a speedy fashion. As long as a tiny bit in each activity happens each day, I'm happy enough for now.

  8. I felt exactly that way this weekend, lol! I'm so looking forward to after Thanksgiving when my Day Job returns to part-time rather than full-time and I have some energy for quilting. Soon!

  11. Love your blog it is so sweet. Can you please help me get the word out that we still need 225 quilts to complete the project for Lets Quilt Aurora? We have raised 90 quilts that have already been passed out and still need 225. The most important 14 we still need right now are for the families of those that lost their lives. I can't let everyone know, but together we can continue this project. If you can't send a quilt, please like us on Facebook, talk about us on facebook, put my blog address and FB site on your blog. Please, these people's lives were shattered in just a matter of minutes and we want to let them know quilters care:https://www.facebook.com/pages/Aurora-Colorado-Emergency-Responder-Quilts/401592493230782

  12. It happens to me all the time. I had fixed a sewing night with a friend of mine, girls' fun and sewing every Thursday night. We haven't managed to spend a single sewing night so far, nil with our date! :-( Either she or I have cancelled our dates for emergency work, sick children, being sick ourselves, etc. And what's most frustrating is that if we don't meet, I don't take time to sew but waste my evening with nonsense, and she doesn't take time to sew either, so it's really wasted time.

  13. I think it happens to all of us! I know I am much more relaxed when I get to spend some time in my room creating. I hope you are able to find some time for you soon!!!

  14. Hello Miss Grumpy, I bet by now you are smiling, because you are not alone! Some days I feel my day is wasted if I don't get to my sewing corner! But how lucky I am when I do! Thanks for sharing your grumpy-meter!
