New sponsor and a super giveaway!! (You don't want to miss this one!)

THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED NOW....but thank you for your interest!

This morning in the studio . . .
Snoodles! Can we go with you on your next trip to New England?  Yeah! Can we go? (Dragon Drop emerges from his scrap-fabric tent.)

Aww, boys, you missed me when I was gone on business? That's so sweet!

Well, yes, (Padsworth wiggles the mouse) but we found somewhere that we want to visit! Lookie!

It's Quilter's Way! It looks awesome! The walls are my favorite color! Ribbit!

It really DOES look like an awesome brick-n-mortar store, y'all! But I have some good news! Quilter's Way has an online store, too!

I hope that all of you Lilypadquilting peeps will take a trip through cyberspace and check out the Quilter's Way store. I had better warn you, though, you'll need a cuppa and a cookie, because it will take a little while -- they have so much to see! Everything from traditional to up-to-the-minute contemporary!

That stunning Amish quilt is their BOM that begins in September! Gorgeous! (It's Nancy Rink's pattern, and the BOM is called Amish with a Twist.)

These beauties are from the Cotton and Steel folks; eight coordinated fat quarters! See, everything from traditional to contemporary . . . oh! wait, there's more to see!

(Just a note here; I absolutely adore how their site is set up -- lovely, clear navigation and crisp photos. Love it!

Quilter's Way has an awesome selection of fabrics by your favorite designers! From A - Z!

                                                                         Anne Kelle

                                                                Anna Maria Horner

                                                                      Joel Dewberry

                                                                            Zen Chic

Quilter's Way stocks a dizzying array of notions, too. Here are a couple of things that caught my eye, since I'm heavily into applique these days:
That adorable, tiny iron comes with lots of bells and whistles, and a heat-resistant bag, too!

And this looks super for transferring designs . . . the lines wipe away when you're done!

But here is where I'd like you to pay Very. Close. Attention. Are you ready? They have a fabulous selection of kits available. Need a gift in a hurry? Tired of all the cutting? Snag one of these and make a beauty of a quilt pronto!

Custom college quilts . . . tell the team at Quilter's Way your college colors and they will hand-pick just the right fabrics for you to complete a quilt . . . for your graduate, or for yourself!

Need a stunning wall hanging for the Christmas season? This "Oh Tannenbaum" project should do the trick -- it finishes at 58 by 76 inches!

The Winterberry table topper kit . . . I know just the place for that, here at my place. (Grin)

At 44 by 58 inches, there will be lots of ways to use this cute and modern Tatami Mat quilt, with Rumble fabrics!

Also in the kits section, you'll find panels galore that will inspire you to make a quick quilt or quilted project . . . so much to see!  I think you will love these kits by Heidi Boyd -- they're adorable!

Miss Jane and the Quilter's Way team are always happy to accommodate special requests. Check out their FAQ page to get an idea of all the great services that they offer!

And Miss Jane and her team are sponsoring a giveaway today!
(Drumroll, please, Padsworth!)

One lucky winner is going to win this kit! It's the "Hello Friend" Disappearing Nine Patch kit! Look at what you will receive if Mr. Random chooses your comment:

Here's what the Quilter's Way site tells about this kit:

This kit features a charm patch from the Hello Friend collection
designed by Abi Hall for Moda Fabrics.      This collection combines
bright prints and blenders with a community of busy friendly animals. The charm squares are constructed into 9-patches and then sliced and rearranged to make up a lovely crib sized quilt.
                 Finished size: 32in x 37in.
                 Kit includes:
Directions for constructing disappearing 9-patch blocks
                 Hello Friend charm pack
5/8 yard Kona Cherry for background
3/8/ yard blue fabric for binding

How would you like to win that kit?
Would you like some extra (optional) ways to increase your chances of winning?  (I hear heads nodding!)

OK, here is how we will do this!
1. Leave a comment and tell me that you have hopped over to Quilter's Way and browsed their kits. Tell me which one is calling your name!
2. Leave me a comment telling me the motto for Quilter's Way. (If you get stuck, check their logo!)
3. Do you Facebook? Follow Quilter's Way on Facebook -- you will see lots of interesting posts there! Tell me you did, in another comment.
4. Do you enjoy Pinterest? Follow Quilter's Way on Pinterest -- inspiring stuff! Tell me you did, in another comment.
5. Are you an Instagram fan? Follow Quilter's Way on Instagram, and let me know you did!
6. Here is where it gets good -- share this giveaway on Facebook or on your own blog -- you'll get ten extra entries into the giveaway drawing!
7. For those who don't "do" Facebook or Instagram, etc., make a trip to the Fabrics section of the Quilter's Way site, and come back to tell me which fabric (not designer) you would love to see in your stash!

With all of these chances to win, I might not be able to answer every comment -- we'll leave the giveaway open for a week, and then draw our winner!

Good luck! And thank you, Quilter's Way!

Burlap brights!

Recently, Benartex coordinated a blog hop with giveaways . . . I won a bundle of pretty fat quarters! (Click here to go see their blog with great ideas and fabrics!)

I entered over at an inspiring blog called K-D Quilts. You really should hop over there and see Kristen's Christmas in July post with lovely quilting.

Here is what I won! Six scrumptious fat quarters . . .

Love, love those colors!

Look at the "texture" -- it looks like a really nubby fabric, but it's wonderfully smooth quilting cotton.

I have a special project in mind for these beauties! (Waving) Thanks, Benartex, and Kristen!

Linking up with the lovely Katherine and all of her co-hostesses at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop!

PR Angels for the Pet Show

Ladies and gents!

Start your engines!

(Grin) I just like the sound of that.

It's almost time for the Pets on Quilts Show for 2015! The official start date for our linky party is August 17th!

Now is the time to coax your furbaby onto one of your special quilted creations, and snap a photo. They may be a little confused at first, if you routinely shoo them off the quilts to work on them, but give them a little time to warm up to it. You'll get a great picture!

Are there any who would like to earn extra entries in the prize drawings?

You can be a PR Angel!  Our angels spread the word about the show -- they post the button to get more folks interested.

Post it on your blog.

Post it on your Flickr page.

For each place that you spread the word, you will receive ten (10) more entries in the prize drawings!

Here is how it works:

The show begins on the 17th of August, and everyone has a chance to join the linky party -- you may have one blog post entry, and one Flickr entry.
The show will continue for about a week, and then voting begins. There will be Viewer's Choice prizes for several categories (Best dog on quilt, best cat, etc). After those prizes are awarded, a random drawing will determine who wins the other prizes!

See?  Easy Peasy!! Now, the button and the code are up on the right hand sidebar here at Lilypadquilting, so go forth and spread the word! When the voting is going on, we'll confirm who our PR Angels are, and add those to our random drawings!

Better hop to it, and get those pictures ready!

Cozy Afternoon giveaway winner!

Thank you so much for all of your lovely comments! I was blushing at some of your kind words, and I enjoyed reading all of the comments!

Unfortunately, many of the peeps who commented didn't realize that their settings were on "no-reply" so Mr. Random had to make several attempts before we had a winner!

Please, please, even if you think you have your settings fixed up right -- check them out by leaving a comment or by adding your email to your comment.

If your settings are correct (or if I have your email address) you will receive an answer from me, and you will be all set to participate in the random drawing! Yay!

If you don't receive a reply, you'll know something is amiss!

Here is the prize package that is up for grabs, because of the generous sponsorship of Jacquelynne Steves, who is the designer of our fun Block of the Month pattern:

Here is the commenter that Mr. Random chose:

Congratulations! Ramona, you are our winner! Enjoy!

Don't forget, everyone, if you have not started this project, you can sign up here at this link and join in on the fun!

Block 3! The Cozy Afternoon BOM . . .

THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED NOW, but thank you for your interest!

. . . and a giveaway! But first, let me show you my block!

I know that many of you are joining us on this Block of the Month adventure from Jacquelynne Steves. Isn't this a fun quilt?

My blocks are looking so summery with these fabrics from my stash. Check out the block center for this month -- a lovely cup of tea with a friendly butterfly who came to call!

I used a machine blanket stitch for the applique, except for some places where a straight stitch was a little easier to handle. On the picture below, you can see the stem of the daisy was backstitched by hand, after the rest of the center was completed. I love how it turned out!

Here is a peek at part of the block, showing how the colors are playing together. Even the navy, which I was worried about at first (grin) is looking just right!

After the center is done, these pink, yellow and orange pieces frame it perfectly:

And here is the completed block:

I hope that you will click on the link and stop in to see Jacquelynne, over at her blog. Don't forget to check out what the other Cozy Afternoon bloggers are showing you this week, too!

Here is our giveaway for July! Three lovely patterns! I have my eye on that Savannah Wool Runner pattern, myself!
Leave me a comment and let me know what your favorite summer-time food or drink is! Followers can leave a second comment, to increase your chances to win!

These Cozy Afternoon blocks go together so quickly -- if you haven't started yet, don't worry! Just click here to sign up and get started!
