Modern scrap swap

I was honored to be included in the invitations for Leona's (Leona's Quilting Adventures blog) modern fabric scrap swap, and thought I would show you what is winging it's way to my swap partner.

She asked for a zippered pouch for her little boy to carry his projects in --- how could I resist? Anybody that is already brainwashing, er, indoctrinating, er encouraging the creative process with fabrics and threads in their little ones is OK in my book! After all, that's what I did, too! (Grin)

Here is his new pouch:

Lots of bright fabrics --- animals and vehicles.  I don't think she follows my blog, so it is safe to show it!

Here are the scraps . . . five inch charms of lots of modern fabrics, in a rainbow of colors!

Sure hope they like 'em!

See you again soon - there's always something goin' on here at the Lilypad!

Love,

Another Package in the Mail - I won!

(Have I been a good kid, or what? LOL)

I was so thrilled when Leona employed Mr. Random to pick her winner in the 1,000 Follower Giveaway that she hosted --- he picked lil ole me!

Look at all the goodies!

It was already a fabulous giveaway when she posted it, but then she added some extras!  Love that Michael Miller pink fabric, and the apron panel is going to be made up right away -- I need me some elegance in the kitchen! (Wink) Those charm squares are going into a tote, using that zipper, and the rest will be in a Moda Bake Shop runner I have been wanting to make!

And there are TWO spools of yummy variegated thread -- it's the King Tut thread from Superior! Yay! Can't wait to try it....she put in some needles and patterns, and whew! I need to catch my breath!

Hey! I guess you see who is trying to nab my chocolate that Leona put in.  She must be psychic, since it's extra dark, and that is the kind that I prefer!

I hope that you will visit Leona at her blog, Leona's Quilting Adventures, and see her marvelous modern blocks. She is like me, since she works full time and then does her quilting and blogging!  I get inspiration from her posts --- I think you'll love her colorful modern designs!

Thanks again, Leona!
