Fabulous Friday Giveaway - sponsored by the Intrepid Thread store!

UPDATE: This giveaway is now closed. Thank you for your interest, and stop in again soon!
Friday crept up on me! But Padsworth and DragonDrop let me know, and so we have a lovely giveaway from our special friend, Julie!

The Intrepid Thread is our go-to online store, with an awesome variety of designer quilting cottons. And we hear from Julie's newsletter that they are looking for space for a real, live, brick and mortar store! How exciting!  Those of you in the San Jose area will have a new quilting hot-spot to visit. (Yes, I am turning green, Padsworth.  No, I don't feel sick.  I am jealous of the peeps who will be able to visit Julie and pat all that fabric in person....Grin)

Want to see some of the lovely things she stocks at the Intrepid Thread? Feast your peepers on these:

Flutter - by the Quilted Fish

Frippery - by Thomas Knauer

Floressence - by Pat Bravo
Ya, I know, I know . . . Flutter, Frippery, and Floressence. What can I say? I love alliteration!

See what I mean? You can find all of the top designers at the Intrepid Thread, and there are new lines coming in all. the. time.  Seriously, if I could, I would have a standing order for whatever came in each week; Julie has great taste, and then she prices her fabrics so reasonably.  Her bundles are great values, and she has a clearance sale section that is wonderful, too!

If you want bundles, like these, you are in hog heaven. But you are also covered if you want to pick and choose from these lines......fat quarters, pre-cuts, and yardage. It's all there for you to choose from, and then Julie ships so very fast --- all you have to do is figure out how to get it into the house undetected! (Wink)

DragonDrop is jumping up and down, anxious for me to tell you what is up for grabs today!  So, without further ado (big sigh from DragonDrop here) I'll show you!

This lovely bundle of the Cool colorway of Bella, by Amanda Murphy!!  Hoppy Froggies! It sure is pretty!

Would ya like to win it? I know you do!

Just leave a comment here telling me your favorite line from the Intrepid Thread's JUST ARRIVED department!
For an extra entry, let me know if you follow here, and for yet another entry, tell me if you follow Julie's blog!

Good luck, everyone! Let the commenting begin!
(We'll leave this giveaway open until next Thursday, November 8, and then we'll let Mr. Random pick a winner!)

Do you recognize the line? (I'll have a book review and a giveaway coming up soon.) I shopped with Julie at the Intrepid Thread and made these beauties my very own. If you like what you see, you should head over there and grab some, quickly!

Here is a peek at the project itself:

And here is one portion of the mystery, already completed:

Whatcha think is going on here? Any guesses?

It's easy. And it might get you some really neato prizes. (Neato. That is a word I haven't used in a while. It just popped out. Bear with me, OK?)

(Mumbling) Neato. I can't believe I said that one.

Here's Our Winner! And we are planning another Giveaway!

You know, they say that two of the most important words in the English language are "Thank you!"

A big Lilypadquilting "Thank you" goes out to Julie of The Intrepid Thread, who made our giveaway possible! I hope that all of you will continue to enjoy her newsletter, check out her blog, and purchase super fabrics from her great online store!  Since she sponsored our giveaway with a wonderful selection of fabric, we had an awesome response, and it was a lot of fun!

We asked Mr. Random Number Generator to pick our winner, and here is what he replied:

Number 113 is....... Hilachas!! She left this comment at the 113th spot:

Hilachas said...
I am already a follower of "The Intrepid Thread" and thank you for the opportunity to win your generous giveaway.
Congratulations, Hilachas! I have sent you an email, and if you will reply with your snail mail address, I'll get these gorgeous 1001 Peeps fabrics on their way to their new home! We hope that you will blog about what you make with them - let us see a picture!

Now Padsworth and I also want to express our gratitude to all of our followers, old and new - there are over 200 of you now! Whooo hooo! And I think that is cause for a celebration, don't you? I thought you would agree!

Let's see......what can we do to celebrate?

We could have some cupcakes

Or maybe some balloons

But there would be no one here but Padsworth and me, to eat up all the cuppy-cakes....I would probably break the scales the next time I stepped on....
and blowing up all those balloons would give me a headache!

How about a pinata?! Or maybe noisemakers?!

Hmmpphhh! None of these will work because we are all in different places in front of our computers!

I know!! I know!!
We can all "happy dance" where we are!!

Naaahhhh! I have a better idea!

Let's have another giveaway!! Yay!!!

We are pulling together a super-nice giveaway package.....stay tuned and check back with us early next week - you'll be so glad you did!  There will be fabric and some extras - you won't want to miss it!!

In the mean time, in case you haven't heard, Happy Quilting is having an awesome giveaway - a huge stack of Kate Spain's Flurry!!!  Yumm! Here is the link to go and enter!

Sponsored Giveaway - from the Intrepid Thread!

Edit: This giveaway is now closed......
OK, I need a show of hands, here.....how many of you would like to know about an awesome online fabric store with a super selection of fabrics, and sales that will wow you?  How many of you would like to win some free fabric? Really? No kidding? Ahhh, I thought so!

I would like to introduce you to Julie, at The Intrepid Thread. You can find her here, at The Intrepid Thread blog, or here, at The Intrepid Thread store, or even here, at the Quilted Fish, providing an excellent tutorial for a Sweet Liberty tablerunner! You may want to bookmark that one, and make it for next July Fourth!

The Intrepid Thread online store is a family owned and run business, and they truly concentrate on stellar customer service. Named partly for the ship Julie's dad served on (which I think is way cool), The Intrepid Thread is going to be your "go-to" store for awesome fabrics and super customer care. Julie is stocking up on some of the hottest designers, and her "Coming Soon" department looks like a wish list of the stuff we were drooling over in the spring market recaps on everyone's blogs! Now in stock are familiar names like Wrenly, Alphabet Soup, Loulouthi, and more! Soon she will have shelves full of Heirloom, Pernilla's Journey, Taza, Farm Fresh, and (be still my heart) Terrain!

The Intrepid Thread team also offers an email newsletter that you will want to sign up for: fabric news, tips, and free patterns! Check out this adorable zippered wristlet that Sasha designed. This newsletter is going to be one that you'll be happy to see hit your inbox!

Recently I ordered some of The Intrepid Thread's sale items - their end-of-the-bolt prices are great! I wanted you to see how my package arrived.....so nice!

Even a hand-written thank you note - and these were sale fabrics, no less! Julie and her team truly know how to make their customers feel appreciated! I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my order arrived, too! They aren't dragging their feet in The Intrepid Thread shipping department!

Now, I know that you are getting "antsy" hoping that I will tell you about the giveaway, so here we go! The Intrepid Thread also has 1001 Peeps in stock, and I didn't mention them before, because that is what we have for you to try to win! Julie has generously contributed eight fat quarters of this incredibly popular line of fabric! Just look at these lovelies:
These are eight fat quarters of 1001 Peeps in the Dusk colorway.....want a closer look? Go ahead, you know you do!
There's a close up of the "Royal City" (above) and here is one of the "Peeps" to drool over.....

I must apologize for the lighting on some of my pictures....it was storming and I could not get pictures made outdoors!
You'll also get "Pearl Bracelet" and "Towers" - and "Illuminate" and "Illusion" as well! Here is a stacked showing of all eight:

Now..... wipe the drool off your keyboard and get ready! I have a variety of ways that you can earn chances to win this gorgeous bundle of fat quarters! You can choose any or all of these to do - it's totally up to you! It won't even matter if you don't "do" Facebook, because there are lots of other ways to enter!

                     1. Follow this blog and comment that you did, or already do.
                     2. Follow The Intrepid Thread's blog, and comment that you did,
                         or already do.
