ReplyDeleteWhen I was a child we opened gifts on Christmas day. When our children were little, we allowed our kids to open one gift and it was always pj's so they'd look nice for Christmas morning pictures. My daughter has picked up this tradition with her children which just cracks me up! Merry Christmas.

We open on Christmas morning. When my sister and I were children, our grandparents would bring one present for each of us to open on Christmas Eve--new Christmas ornaments, which we'd then put on the tree. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I follow your blog!
ReplyDeleteWe visit so many different family members so it feels that we are opening presents from christmas eve until christmas night!
ReplyDeleteWe have the option of opening ONE Christmas eve...if we want to (a leftover from being little), but we open the rest (or all based on one's preference) Xmas morn.
ReplyDeleteIt used to be both - with my late husband's family we did Christmas Eve and with my family we do Christmas Day. Now with my in-laws we give donations in my husband's name to various charitable organizations so there really isn't anything to "open" but we still get together for dinner. For my family there's a huge gang of us including lots of teens and a few kids so there are still lots of presents to open.
ReplyDeleteWe open them on Christmas morning, but when I was growing up we opened them on Christmas Eve.
ReplyDeleteWhen my children were small, we allowed them to open one gift on Christmas Eve. The rest on Christmas morning. Now, with them grown and married, we have to open them when everyone can get together. It doesn't necessarily fall on either of those days.
ReplyDeleteI love following your blog. You inspire me.
