Viewers' Choice Winners!

Woot!

Padsworth here, and have we had the fun, here at the Lilypad! There are so many cute pets out there, and you special peeps have shared their photos and their stories with us!

For that we are so very grateful.

We're grateful, too, that so many of you spread the word, voted, and took part in the Padsworth Project -- and some of you said that you will keep on going with it! Sweet! We are going to see if we can adjust the linky party to keep it going all year!

The voting was tremendous -- the contestants were adorable -- the competition was amazing!

And we have winners to announce!

So here we go!

The coveted title of Best in Show for Dog on Quilt went to none other than Sweet William the Scot, whose loyal supporters pushed him past the other entries to a win!

Take a bow, Sweet William!

Sweet William won the wonderful Beam N Read!

We can just bet that his momma will get a lot of use from that - it's a pawesome and useful thing to have around! Check out that linkie to see all that you can do with it!

Next, we had a spirited competition for the title of Best in Show for Cat on Quilt. The winner (winners) are the adorable rescue kittens from Sew and Sow Farm! She called the entry "Homeless no More" and we were captivated by the story and the kitties!

These cuties won the e-certificate from Fat Quarter shop for their momma! (She notes on her blog that they are now happily placed in their forever homes!) Fat Quarter Shop is one of our pawesome sponsors, so check out that linkie for your fabric, pattern, and notions addiction, er, wish list, er, requirements!

Jan also participated in the Padsworth Project, and we are over-the-top happy about that!

Talk about a landslide victory! Wow! This little pet really stole the show for the Best in Show for Other Pet on a Quilt! They're cheering for you, Josephine!

We enjoyed her fun post, too! Josephine made it possible for her momma to win that fabulous Reliable Velocity V50!

The next category was Best in Show EQ-Designed Quilt -- we didn't have too many entries in this category, but the overwhelming favorite was Sew Cal Gal's Cats Playing on the Grass at Night quilt!

She is the original "Pet Show Proprietor" and turned the show over to us at the Lilypad. We've loved hosting it!

SewCalGal's prize is the lovely bundle from our own blog sponsor, the Quilt Kit Market! They have purrrrfectly incredible sales on their kits, and you should definitely hop over there and check them out! There's a linkie for you right there!

We seem to have a lot of folks that love their Scotties, because Ranger is the winner of the Best in Show Art Quilt!

Ranger's momma wasn't sure if it was an art quilt or not, but her voters overwhelmingly thought so, and we do, too. It had lots of fun embellishments and bling!
His momma won the e-certificate from Martingale! I know she will enjoy picking her prize from the vast selection on their web site! Check out that linkie and you will be amazed at all the wonderful things you find there.

Our last category was hotly contested -- in fact, only two votes separated the first and second place finishes in the Best of Show Pet Themed Quilt!

The winner (by a whisker) was "Love Me, Love My Cat" submitted by Gracie and Smitty, and by their purrrrsonal staff, Barbara at Catpatches!

Gracie and Smitty will have a new batch of fabric to inspect, since Mr. Random picked a Hoffman "Crackers" layer cake for their momma to use!

You can see more of the lovely fabrics that Hoffman offers, by clicking on this linkie!

(By the way, that is how all of the prizes are awarded here at the Pet Show. We work Mr. Random Number Generator pretty hard!)

Congratulations to all of the Viewers' Choice winners for 2013!  Enjoy your prizes!

We will take a break and then get back to work on a post awarding the random drawing prizes. . . there are so many prizes, from so many wonderful sponsors, that it will take a while to get it all sorted out! We'll be back soon with the announcement!

Love,

It's time to vote for your favorites!

Wow! This has been a fabulous show so far!  We've enjoyed hopping from blog to blog to Flickr page, meeting new friends and their pets.

We've seen lots of gorgeous quilts, and lots of cute pups, kitties, and more. Now it is time to vote for your favorites!

You can scroll down to the previous post to see the linky party, or just click on this link.
You'll want to leave a comment on this post with your choices for each category. Here is an example:
Dog on Quilt: #1605
Cat on Quilt: #2310
Other pet on Quilt: #583
Art quilt: #771
EQ designed project: #1822
Pet themed quilt: #419
That's all there is to it!

Easy peasy!

We will award prizes to the six winners of the viewers' choice categories, and then the random drawings will award the rest of the prizes. We have LOTS of lovely sponsors, and lots of prizes to award!

Voting will go on all this week, and close on Saturday night, August 24. Then the staff here at the Lilypad will begin tallying results. We will announce our six viewers' choice winners as soon as possible, and then you will need to bear with us while we let Mr. Random choose the other winners.

Your vote on this post is yet another entry into the drawings.

And yes, it is OK to make a shameless request for votes on your own blog, so that your followers will vote for your pet! After all, their vote makes them eligible for a prize, too, so it's a winning situation for all!

Let the voting begin! Leave your comments on this post!

Love,

The Pets on Quilts Show is here! 2013 Edition!

Today is the day! It's finally here! The 2013 Pets on Quilts Show starts today! (Oh, boy are we excited here at the Lilypad!)

We've affectionately labeled our show the "Bestest Show on Earth" because of all of the wonderful bloggers and Flickr folks who join us each year, and because of all the fun we have, seeing everyone's pets and quilts!

We have an awesome line-up of sponsors, and lots of lucky winners will be happy-dancing when their prizes arrive!
Just look at the Hall of Fame of Pet Show sponsors (and give them a huge round of applause, too, and be sure to check out their sites):

Raspberry Rabbits

Here's an update: We have one more sponsor to show you (and we will do a feature post after the show)....please welcome Lunchbox Quilts!

Thank you, sponsors, we love you all!

Need instructions on how to enter our show? Click on this link, and you will find updated and tweaked information that will tell you how to enter. We would say that it will "answer all your questions" but we know that some of you will put on your thinking caps and pose more questions, so we will try to keep it updated! (Wink!)

UPDATE:
Oh, and don't worry about the fact that you can't see your entry when you look at the linky party....everyone else can see it just fine, in all of its cuteness! (Grin)

Don't forget -- you can earn TWO EXTRA ENTRIES in our random drawings by making a pet bed or blankie, and posting a picture on the Padsworth's Project page! We love rescue pups and kitties, and we cheer for the no-kill shelters that try so hard to find Forever Homes for them! You can read all about that if you click on this linkie! If you happen to make two blankies or beds, and post a second picture, you get TWO MORE entries! And so on, and so on. (The possibilities are staggering!)

Our virtual pet show will be open for new entries from now (August 11) until Saturday (August 17) and then we will start the voting on Sunday (August 18).  Voting will continue through the next Saturday, August 24.

Voters will leave comments (after the linky party is closed) detailing their choices for top honors in each category. We will tally them up and announce as soon as we can!  They will win some wonderful prizes, and then we'll let Mr. Random choose the winners for the rest of the prizes!

You can leave a comment today after you link up, that is one entry! Then hop around and leave some comment love for the other contestants - that is one entry if you visit them all (you just leave a comment here telling me that you did that). If you have posted on your blog, or tweeted, or posted on Facebook to spread the word, those are three more possible entries! Your vote (next week) counts as another entry, and you get the two extra ones if you help out a shelter near you with a bed or blankie.
You can, you see, have lots of entries in the random drawings!

We can't wait to see all of your entries . . . so let the party begin!

OH!!! DragonDrop is jumping up and down and insisting that I remind you . . . please make certain you are not a "no-reply" blogger! With all of the changes in Google, if you are not sure, just put your email address with your comment, like this: yourname(at)yahoo(dot)com

After all, you don't want Mr. Random to choose your name for a prize, and then we can't email you to let you claim it!!

Love,

AND
