Giveaway Day December 2012!
Whoo hooo! Let the fun begin! This giveaway is closed now, but thank you for your interest!
First, though, let's thank the wonderful folks over at SewMamaSew because they organize and host this event twice a year! It's an awesome opportunity to hop around and find fun new blogs to visit, and perhaps win some neat prizes, too!
Here at Lilypadquilting, we are offering up four charm packs of Jovial, by Basic Grey, for Moda. Yep, you read that right --- four charm packs!
Take a look!
Padsworth and DragonDrop thought it was great fun to play with the fabric, but I can assure you that no charm packs were injured in the writing of this post. (Grin)
They loved making a house, and playing King on the Mountain, too!
(These charm packs came from our special friend Michelle who ran the Quilt Kit Market. She is now focusing on developing patterns for sale.)
Want to win these? Oh, you know you do!! These packs just make you feel all jingle-bell-y all over! And I can just SEE the smoke coming from your ears, as the gears turn and you dream of creating a quilt, a runner, some placemats, or other Christmas-y things! You didn't know that I could see you, did you? That's one of my super-powers, don'tcha know?! (Maniacal laughter fading away . . . )
Ahem.
Leave me a comment using the word "elf" or "elves" and you will be entered to win!! Easy peasy!
Now, you don't have to be a follower to win, but we do love our followers, so if you are one of these special peeps, you can leave me a comment to tell me so, and that will be your second entry to win!!
This giveaway will be open until 5pm (PST) on December 7, and the winner will be announced on the next day!
Now, be sure to go over to SewMamaSew and see all of the other fabulous giveaways, and fun blogs to visit, too!
Last time we played this fun game, we had so many comments that we just couldn't keep up! Please forgive us if we don't reply to you --- we'll give it a shot, but we might not get around to everyone!
I'm also linked up to Royal Legacy Tuesday Treasure Giveaway Linkup!

From France and from the US
I do so love it when the mailman (ours is a fella) brings fun things in the mail! I got two packages recently, one from here in the US, and one all the way from France!
Marjorie (Marjorie's Quilting Bee) did a wonderful job with the Quilts of Valor blog hop, and she sent me not one, but TWO samplers of lovely Aurifil thread! Just look at these yummy colors:
And then, just when Lholy-Chan and I thought it might have gotten lost, my package from her finally did arrive! I think sometimes there are gremlins that like to take our packages and play soccer with them, or use them for seat cushions, or nibble on the edges....but it's here!
And inside that package, I found some lovely things:
There is a wonderful postcard that looks like a vintage one; I love the pictures and text on it! And the little notebook is so pretty -- Lholy said it is from Japan!
Are you turning green with envy, looking at my buttons in the picture? Ya know I love my buttons! (Grin) It's so much fun to have just the right button for a project, especially my 3D projects! Lholy told me that the buttons came from La Droguerie, which she said was a very nice notions shop in Paris! Wow! Now my creations will have an international flair!
And here is my prize from the SewMamaSew giveaway day....this pretty book cover!
It is stitched so nicely, and even has a marker in there, to hold my place when I stop reading and put down my book! Sweet! And since it is in my new fav color, orange, it is especially nice. (Had to show you those buttons one more time!)
Thank you, Lholy-Chan, for my special gifties! I love them! I hope if y'all have time, you will hop over to visit her at Anomori, her blog! Just click here on the linkie!

All the way from Malaysia....
One of the really cool things about SewMamaSew giveaway day is that you are able to visit blogs from all over the world. I always find it a lot of fun to see what quilters and crafters on the other side of the globe are doing!
In May I won an adorable giveaway from Grace at WhimsyLoft -- she has a blog and a wonderful shop, which you can zip over to, by clicking on those linkies.
Here is what she sent to me:
Oh! I forgot, that is such a closeup of the cute fabric, that you can't quite tell what it is..... How about this one?
You guessed it, it is a sweet pouch with a snappy closure --- which Padsworth managed to get himself caught in, right away!
Here is what he was rooting around in there to pull out:
Some cute fabric with iron-on already applied, and some darling stick-on hearts! What fun to add those to projects!
I particularly like the fabric she chose for the inside:
Her workmanship was stellar -- I love my new pouch! I hope you will click on those links up there, and check out her shop . . . she has some lovely things to offer! She has some really cute tutorials on her blog, too! Go and visit!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Wowsers! There's a lot going on here at the Lilypad!
First of all, the fabulous SewMamaSew blog (and store) is organizing Giveaway Day and it starts today! Hoppy Froggies! Padsworth and I are so excited!
Wanna know what we are giving away to one lucky winner? Of course you do! Well, here it is!
Whoa, mama! Hold me back, Padsworth --- I'm tempted to squirrel it away in my stash again! (Grin)
Who wants to win these gorgeous Christmas-y, winter-timey strips of goodness?
You do? Well, OK then. We'll be shipping this to the winner (even internationally) that Mr. Random chooses from the comments!
Here's how you enter:
1. Leave me a comment telling me your fav quilt block!
2. We adore our special followers, so if you follow, leave
one more comment!
Easy peasy, right? You'll also want to click here and go to visit SewMamaSew, where you will find a list of other bloggers who are participating this week. Hop around, enter the giveaways, and make some new friends! Our giveaway will close on May 25, and we'll announce our winner on the 26th!
Now, while you are here, we have some more May for Me fun going on . . . All four of us "Bingo Bloggers" are going to answer this question:
Who shall I choose? I've always enjoyed Bonnie Hunter's scrappy quilts and her system of using up scrap fabrics . . . I'm crazy about Amanda Murphy's cool designs . . . I know!! I would choose Jeni Baker of In Color Order!! Why? Because I am color challenged -- so much so, that sometimes I am paralyzed by the choices! Jeni has an incredible series on her blog that you simply must go see if you ever have that problem. (Don't go into denial here; you know who you are.) Jeni has got the equivalent of a twelve step program called "The Art of Choosing" for those of us with this problem --- everything from color basics to warm vs cool, and how to pick just the right prints to play together nicely!
She is not only a color virtuoso, but very generous as well, for she shares lots of wonderful ideas and designs on her blog, and she has been an instructor at Sewing Summit, too! (I'm still workin' on my fairy godmother to get me airfare for that....she seems preoccupied with a pumpkin and some mice at the moment.)
I guess I made you wait long enough for these . . . here are your bingo words for today from me!
Now, while you are here, we have some more May for Me fun going on . . . All four of us "Bingo Bloggers" are going to answer this question:
"If you could, as a May For Me treat to yourself, have any one designer or teacher come to your home for a personal 'one-on-one' class - who would it be and why?"Hmmmm, this one is harder than it looks. There are so many designers whose patterns or fabric lines I just love. (Imagine the Jeopardy theme playing as I ponder this.)

And maybe if Jeni came to see me, she would bring her adorable bunny, George! I hope she doesn't mind my showing George to you. I hope you will click on the links up there to visit her blog, learn more about color, and go to George's blog, too! I guess I made you wait long enough for these . . . here are your bingo words for today from me!

Giveaway Winners!! Yep, there's two of the little rascals!
If you are looking for our Accuquilt Christmas Bloghop giveaway, just click on that link and POOF --- you'll magically be there! It closes on Sunday, so hurry!!
OK, pilgrims, we have had two giveaways going on here at the ole Lilypad, and I want to say, "Bless your pea-pickin' little hearts" cause you have really supported us here, and I've had a blast reading all of your comments!
Well, the giveaway celebrating Quilting Gallery's fourth anniversary started first, and I enjoyed reading all of your comments about your favorite Christmas foods. Some of you were very dignified and calmly told me about the turkey you were looking forward to, or your mom or grandmom's signature recipe. Some of you had me giggling as you went wild over the goodies and desserts -- I swear, I think I gained weight just reading about all the delectable stuff that you're going to be wolfing down over the holidays!
I think maybe after New Year's, we may implement a exercise-for-sewing regimen here . . . anybody want to join me in walking to earn sewing time? (Grin)
OK, now let's see who is going to win this charm pack of Terrain!!
Yes, Quiltaholic, I am one of the guilty parties who uses the fruitcake for a door stop, but don't tell anybody else, OK?! (Grin)
Congratulations to our Party winner!! I'll be emailing you for your shipping information, and this charm pack will be flying from my chubby fingers to your happy ones very soon!
Now, at the same time, we had the SewMamaSew Giveaway Day going on --- lots of fun all around the globe! I now know that the majority of our group will open one present on Christmas Eve, and that for many of you (and your kiddos) that present will be pajamas, and there will be a flurry of picture taking once those jammies are tried on! The rest of the gifties are held in reserve for the big day! You all had awesome senses of humor, and your comments were really great!
Now, let's see who gets to give the charm pack of So Sophie a new home!
Mr. Random chose:
And our 374th comment was from KatieQ of Katies Salt Marsh Path blog!
Congratulations! I'll email you momentarily, and then ship this fabric yumminess to you!!
My sincere thanks to everyone who stopped in to visit, clicked to follow, and left engaging comments for me to read! What fun!
By the way, stop in at the Quilting Gallery and at SewMamaSews, and let them know how much you enjoyed the bloghops that they sponsored, OK? It takes a lot of work to organize one, and they did a super job so that all of us could have a ball! Let them know you love 'em!
