You know that happy dance that you do, when you finish a block for a quilt?
Yep, that tremor that you may have felt here in the US was just me . . . take a peek!
Here is block nine for my swoon quilt:
The lighting inside makes the star look more gray than it really is, so I will show you some closeups of the pretty fabrics:
Now, to get the sashing done, and start the custom borders I have designed!

IHAN -- I Have A Notion!
Many of you special Lilypadquilting peeps already know the lovely and creative Kelly at IHAN . . . for those of you who don't yet know her (and her crew of elves) you are in for a treat!
IHAN stands for I Have A Notion -- a fabulous online store for machine embroiderers, quilters, and those who areaddicted to, er, enjoy the needle arts. (Grin) We've been long-time admirers and customers of Kelly, because she has wonderful things for us to purchase, and because we are over-the-top happy with her brand of customer service!
When you shop at the IHAN store, you are tempted by LOTS of wonderful things:
There are books and dvds:
organizational tools
Floriani embroidering and quilting products
Tables to help with your sewing and embroidery:
Lighting products (is it just me? I've been needing more light lately to do the things I want to do!)
Retreat necessities -- wouldn't you love to have this to carry to your next retreat?
Machine carriers -- these qualify as RVs for your machine!
Threads and floss -- ooh, lovely colors!
Need I say more? This brings a whole new meaning to the phrase, "one stop shopping" doesn't it? (Wink) And we quilters are all about shopping!
Kelly has a fun blog, too, that you should check out, since she has a lot of creative things happening over there.
IHAN is generously sponsoring THREE prizes for our Pets on Quilts Show! Feast your peepers on what three lucky winners in our Pet Show drawings will receive . . .
One winner will receive this:
The second winner will be hoppy to get this:
And the third winner will be happy dancing when this prize package gets in their hands -- it's a Sushi roll by Hoffman Fabrics, and two spools of luscious Aurifil thread!
(Waving) Thank you, Kelly, and a big thanks to your elves, too! I am always so surprised by how quickly my order arrives, and the elves obsess over getting it just right, too! They do a wonderful job!
(And a very special thank you, Kelly, for helping me out on the show -- love ya! When she found out that Life was interfering in my planning the show, she graciously stepped in to help me!)
Y'all hop on over to IHAN and you might just see some things that want to "follow you home"......just sayin!

Yay! Inchworm Fabrics is a prize sponsor!
We're so hoppy to have her participate, and we want to show you some of the lovely things in her store!
Inchworm Fabrics has pre-cuts...
fabric by the yard....
books....
and more!
Looking for patterns by our sweet friend, Barb, at Bejeweled Quilts? You're in luck! Just click here and you can choose from a huge collection of Barb's wonderful patterns and projects!
Inchworm Fabrics is one of the only places I know, where you can find these beauties:
Jelly Rolls of gorgeous Samoan fabrics! (Excuse me, I need to wipe up the drool here, before I can go on . . .)
Here is what Inchworm Fabrics is providing for a prize, for one of our lucky Pet Show winners:
It's called a Snap Sack kit, and it includes everything you need to make this lovely project, except the batting! The fabrics shown here are representative of the kit -- the actual fabrics are Kona Bay, and we all know those are stunning.
We hope you will stop by Inchworm Fabrics, or by their blog, and check out their awesome inventory and their wonderful discount prices, too!
(Waving) Thanks, Inchworm Fabrics! We love you!

Meow! The Quilted Kitty is sponsoring again!
We were so hoppy to have the folks at the Quilted Kitty quilt store on board for our last Pet Show, and we are over-the-top excited that they will join us this year, too!
You know the show is coming up soon (August 11 is our start date) and they've offered to sponsor three prizes again!
Yep, you read it right -- THREE prizes!
Here is what you and your adorable pet show entry might win:
Each winner will receive a selection of pre-cut kitty shapes from cute fabrics!
In addition to the fabric, one winner will receive a $10 e-certificate to the online store; another winner will receive a $15 e-certificate, and the third winner will receive the fabric kitties and a $20 e-certificate to spend at the Quilted Kitty store!
I'm sure that if you live nearby the brick and mortar store in Lincoln, Nebraska, Nanci and all the Furry Dudes will welcome you there and you can shop to your heart's content!
These faces will greet you there:
Nanci is the human that the Furry Dudes allow to "manage" the store.....they let her think that she is the boss, you know!
"Opie has been a Quilt Shop participant since 2004. He offers all kinds of advice in the areas of catching mice, picking on his furry brothers and napping. On any given day you can find Opie sitting at the window dreaming up his next adventure at The Quilted Kitty."
"Wally has "mentally" been an owner since 2006. He contributes each week with his Wally's Weekender, a very popular newsletter and project idea that has earned him his own email address. Wally embraces life with love, kindness and catnip. He loves nothing more than to sit on the back of his furless Dad's chair and dictate what is on TV."
(I snagged those captions from the Quilted Kitty site -- click here to be whisked away for a cyber visit!)
And these fabrics are just a sampling of what you will find:
(All About Kitties page, fabric from Blank Quilting)
(1930's reproduction Fabrics)
(Caprice, by Timeless Treasures)
Be sure to hop over there and check out these fabrics and much more, at the Quilted Kitty!
(Waving) A big Lilypadquilting "THANK YOU!" goes out to the Quilted Kitty! We're glad you are a sponsor of the show!

Are you having fun this weekend?
I hope you are!
I know that I did --- I found a few moments to sew. Padsworth, DragonDrop and I dove into the stash and found these:
Here is a close up of each of the fabrics:
Have you viewed any of Missouri Quilt Co. videos on Youtube? I love 'em! They have nice clear instructions, and I love the duck quacking at the introduction. After all, you know I have a soft spot in my heart for duckies, right? (Grin)
It was easy, using the tutorial I found, and adapting it to a king size pillow. Instead of cutting the main fabric the length they specified, I cut mine at 36 inches, and then used the same sizes for the cuff and the strip of contrast fabric.
Love, love the results!
Hope you have some fun this weekend!

Hoffman Fabrics -- a pet show sponsor!
Ribbit! Padsworth, here, and I am super excited to tell you that we have another sponsor for our show! And I'm hoppy to tell you that it's the ever popular Hoffman Fabrics!
We all know Hoffman as a premiere source of original screenprints and hand-dyed batiks. They design and create more than 800 innovative fabrics each year, and the intricate designs and lush colors make it hard to believe that they are all produced by hand! But that is just what happens at the Hoffman facilities in Bali!
Yay!! Put your hands, webbed feet, or flippers together for Hoffman Fabrics! Boo-yah!
Hoffman offers these fabrics in several ways -- you can find their collections in "Tiles" (wide width strips), in "Snaps" (5x5 inch sqaures), in "Pops" (2.5 inch strips), and more!
The generous folks at Hoffman have offered not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR prizes for our lucky peeps who win the drawings at the Pet Show!
I know that many of you drool over their lovely batiks . . . check out these gorgeous Hoffman Bali Crackers:
This one is called Wildberry!
This one is Tiramisu!
Here is Macaron! And here is Rum Raisin!
Each of these packs of fabric yumminess contains 40 individual batik squares - a big ten inches by ten inches! (Watch out, you're drooling on your keyboard again!) Each square is a different fabric, and can be used to create a wide variety of projects, from lap quilts to runners to garments, and even doggie blankets or beds!
Thank you, Michelle, and Hoffman Fabrics, for being such a generous sponsor for our Pet Show! (Blowing kisses)
This is Padsworth, signing off for now -- we'll be back soon with more merriment and mayhem, here at the Lilypad!

Swoon block number 8!
Whoo hoooo!
Coming down the home stretch -- as far as the piecing goes, anyway!
Found a few minutes to sew, and wanted to show you block number 8!
Ain't it purty? (Grin)
You'll have to excuse the indoor photos...they say we've now had two rains here in our state this year -- the first one lasted 54 days and the next one lasted 120. :)
Here are some closeups of the fabrics for you:
Thanks for stopping by today! I'm going to try to find time to put my blocks on Ole Frog Eyes so that you can see how the whole quilt will look!
