I hope y'all are ready!
Block 2 is released today . . . it will be in your inbox soon!
I wish the blue showed up in the photos like it shows up in person . . . it's much more saturated than it appears. Really a nice pop of color next to the red!
I'm so happy with my Thermoweb Heat n Bond Lite -- it really made the applique center of the block so easy! I hope you will take a few moments to click on this link, and look at their great products to make our quilting easier!
Here is a close up of the block center:
Just look at my lovely corners! Jacquelynne's instructions make that easy!
For the applique, I used my machine to buttonhole stitch around the larger flower pieces, and the stems.
On the teensy, weensy pieces, I used a straight stitch!

One last shot of my Block #2! Now, I know that you are wishing that I would get to the important part -- the giveaway!
We have two giveaways this month! First, the Thermoweb folks are sponsoring this fabulous package for a winner at each of the participating blogs. Kinda makes you want to hop around to all the blogs, and increase your chances of winning, right? (Grin)
Such a generous giveaway! Due to the fact that some of the products are aerosols, this giveaway package can only ship to addresses in the continental United States. You know, the part that you can go to if you were walking. (Grin) If you have to get on a boat or plane to get there, it just can't be shipped there.
Never fear!
Our international (and Alaska and Hawaii) friends, can participate in the second giveaway! Four lucky peeps will win a copy of this cool digital pattern for 4 sizes of the beautiful Starlight block and a table runner, too!
So, everyone can just click here to go to Michele's place, The Quilting Gallery, and check out the details there!
We will leave this giveaway open till June 11, and then we'll announce our winner!
I thought about asking you where you were from, since this prize can only ship within the continental US. But that was dull.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it (haha, I know you will!), is to tell me how many miles you travel to get to your usual grocery store. That's more fun! And that is entry number one!
Want another entry? We love our followers, and we will give you another chance if you tell us in a separate comment -- but it is NOT mandatory!
Want a third chance to win? Share a photo on one of these places: You don't have to be a blogger, see? You can link to a Flickr page or Instagram or Pinterest!

So many chances to win! Three chances here, and more at all the other blogger's places!

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty block! I'm sure that blue is as deep as the ocean blue in person...too bad our cameras don't always capture the color we want. Great stitching on the applique too! My grocery store is so close, I could walk. It's about 1.5 miles away and probably explains why I'm there about every other day!
