A lovely year . . . I hope

I hope that you will join me in hoping for a lovely year in 2013 -- I'd like to personally request (and I have requested) that everyone enjoy a heaping helping of happiness, hope, and healing this year. (While the alliteration may be both amazing and humorous, the thought and the accompanying prayer is fervent and sincere.)

I've joined in on two activities that I think you might like to check out:

2013NewFO

Our dear friend, Barbara, over at the Three Cats Ranch, is continuing her efforts at enabling all of us who see projects that we simply must drop everything and start. Thus, the NEWFO challenge -- where it's OK to start yet another new project!

And here is the motivation to finish those projects:

My Button

Another dear friend, Melissa at SewBittersweet Designs, is co-hosting the Lovely Year of Finishes events with Shanna, at Fiber of All Sorts.

Hopefully with this much encouragement, I'll be inspired to get things done!  So, without further ado, here is my entry for the January goal-setting party!
I'm going to do my best to get this tablerunner completed and on the table! (Grin)

I figure that those cheerful Fruitful Hands colors will cheer us up in the winter months!
Join us in the fun, won't you?

Love,

Remember Service Men and Women campaign

If you are looking for our spectacular fifteen fat quarter bundle giveaway, click here and go to enter! Then come back here to read!

Padsworth and I are all in for the Remember our Service Men and Women campaign over at HopefulThreads and SewBittersweetDesigns . . .

I found some really happy fabric in my stash, and I made a pillowcase! I hope that whoever receives this will not think of it as being for a younger person, but will instead get a smile from it!

Ready? It stars our old friend, happy-dancer-extraordinaire, Snoopy!

Here is the finished pillowcase:

I'm off to score some more fabric from my stash --- I'm either going to make another pillowcase, or maybe an e-reader cover, from one of Melissa's great tutorials!

Join us, won't you? We'd love to have over one hundred gifts to send over!

Love,

Hop on over to SewBittersweet Designs!

Today, Melissa at SewBittersweet Designs is doing us the honor of reviewing our Ole Frog Eyes site --- the virtual design wall for quilters.

It takes up absolutely no space on your wall.

It doesn't require you to spread your blocks on the floor, and then hope that your toddler, your pets, or the gremlins that took up residence in your stash will mess them up!

It is reasonably priced.

I hear what you are thinking. Did you know that I could do that? Did you think your mom was the only one who had that special power? (wink)

You're thinking, "Well, she thinks it's a great site because her daughter is the one that wrote the software -- so she's prejudiced and she would think it was wonderful, even if it wasn't."   Au contraire, little bear!

But if you still think that, check out what Melissa has to say . . . she's not related to us, and she still likes it! (Grin)

So, hop on over there and read her post --- you might even win a free trial month membership!

Love,
