Here's a look at my completed block:
These summertime colors are so cute . . . and Jacquelynne's pattern is simple to make. Love the applique on this one:
I added some stitches with perle cotton to make the teabag string and the path the butterfly followed:
Don't these colors just say "summer" to you?
I gotta do it . . . take a peek at the corner that I circled on this close-up. Sometimes my corners don't turn out quite like they should, but I aced this one:
One more look at the completed block:
If you are a Jacquelynne Steves subscriber, you saw that she has released some adorable note cards recently:
Along with some uber-cute quilt labels. Don't just take my word for the fact that they're cute . . . they must be, cos they sold out immediately!
She's planning a "Catching Up" sew along day on the 26th -- there's still time to join us! These blocks have super clear instructions, and go together quickly!
And here is this month's giveaway! One lucky winner here at the Lilypad will receive these patterns!
Be sure to check out the other Cozy Afternoon bloggers, and see what their blocks look like!

ReplyDeleteOhhhhhh, your block is just wonderful. I love every stitch of it !! I live in Dallas, so obviously my fave team is the Dallas Cowboys. They aren't as grand to me as they were 30 years ago during the Tom Landry days, but I do have a certain loyalty to them. :) :) I think it's because of my Grandmother. When she was still here, if you called her while she was watching the Cowboys, she'd tell you to call her back later!!

Utoh - I'm not a sports fan at all outside of kids' local games. We live near enough Denver, though, for the Broncos to be a huge thing with the folks around me. :D Jacque, this QAL has been so fun to watch - and, Yes!, your block colors are nice and summery. Can't wait to see the set all pulled together!
