. . . you can laugh at it.
Erma Bombeck said it first.
I said it after looking at my sewing table.
If I look carefully, I can count six (no, seven) different projects there. Whoooooeeeee! Somebody needs to clean up and organize, and I think it's me!
Linking up with the "messy" Amy Ellis over at Amy's Creative Side just for fun!
What do you think? Should I just laugh at it, or should I clean it up? (Wink)
Love,
PS -- Don't forget the sale going on at Quilt Kit Market....30% off plus a giveaway!!
Sometimes my work space looks like that. I periodically have to clean it up to see what I've missed under all that!
ReplyDeleteStep over it or around it. Somewhere, there has got to be another place to stack a new project, I say.
ReplyDeleteI only clean when I don't have a project or it's Christmas.
Well, we cleaned today only to turn around and drag a mess back out with the next projects - vicious cycle!
Beijo.
ReplyDeleteI am too embarrassed to show you a photo of what my sewing room floor looks like right now after finishing a Birthday Tote Bag for my sister.........and I DID vacuum it up right before I started because I thought I was going to start quilting another project.....ummmm......I think I read somewhere that a neat desk (substitute here "sewing room")belongs to a person who is too lazy to look for things....LOL
ReplyDeleteThat is the sign of a creative mind :)
ReplyDeleteI don't like too many projects going because I can make a complete mess with just one project. Put the frog to work...
ReplyDeleteMy area often looks like that. I just have to be careful not to cut one of the other projects when I am working on the top one. Done that!!!!
ReplyDeleteI cleaned up today - you can too! I removed all the yarn out of my studio (yes there was a TON! - 5 baskets full). I turned my former yarn area into sewing machine storage (somehow I am up to 4 different machines, not sure how that happened). My problems isn't really cleaning...it is finishing!!!
ReplyDeleteHa! When it's time to clean it up, you'll know it. You won't have to ask:-). I clean when I can't stand it any more. Right now I'm there - ironing and sorting and ironing and sorting. It will take me weeks, but it is very soothing. Then, when it is clean and I can see the horizontal surface, it will take about 10 minutes to get back to normal. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteOh dear! I couldn't work! I have OCD I think...I have a single mess and clean it up when I'm done. =) If you can be happy and working, more power to you!
ReplyDeleteLOL! This is a very familiar look! Maybe once the heat rolls in, I can spend more time cleaning.
ReplyDeleteLOL...if you decide to clean it up, come to my place next please! My work area is so bad things fall off as I am working into the trash can below! I hear a clink and say...whoops, better check to see what that was! LOL...just have not had the time to get organized recently! In my case I am ROFL...rolling on floor laughing...while picking up what fell on the floor!
ReplyDeleteI had a goal to clean up my sewing space yesterday, and I cleaned everything but the said sewing space. Maybe today... I love your turtles by the way, they are adorable!
ReplyDeletelaugh, clean, giggle, clean..laugh more.. I loved Erma Bombeck too xo
ReplyDeleteI'll help you clean up your space if you help me clean up mine? ;) It's a mess over here. Though, they say creativity is always messy.
ReplyDeleteHow can you not smile at least with those gorgeous turtles looking at you. Consider it organised chaos and just go with it. Fake it till you make it I say.
ReplyDeleteI keep filling up those rolling drawer thingies from Joann's (bought with coupon!) with UFOs. This year my goal is to finish, and not start anything new. So far so good. I made it until July almost - then I finished something yesterday and immediately got out fabric to start something new. Oopsie! Progress, not perfection!
ReplyDeleteEven with my attempts at organization, there are four projects competing on my sewing surface at this time!
Hugs,
Thing I
:) looks familiar! I'd probably have to clean it, just to be sure I didn't cut the wrong thing on accident!
