The stuff my snacking dreams are made of . . . orange sherbet and vanilla ice cream swirled together. Yum!
My Summer Moon blocks make me think of that! (Here is a link if you would like to join me in my journey. I'm doing my sampler quilt in oranges, but you can use whatever fabrics crank your tractor!)
Summer Moon is Carrie Nelson's sampler quilt with three blocks of each design. They will have borders added at the end, that will enable all the blocks to be the same size - but for now, I made the necessary 5.0 inch, 6.5 inch, and 8.0 inch blocks from the "Big O" pattern.

DeleteI never have been tempted by a creamsicle, but your quilt blocks look very tempting to grab them up and run off with them! I love the oranges too.

DeleteI was working on the Summer Moon blocks through my local craft/quilting shop that had a once a month quilt club. Then covid hit and it has been put on hold. What was nice about the way we are doing it is we work on three different block designs each month. We can choose to do each block in all three sizes or only one of each block choosing a different size for each one. Also we are using our own fabrics so we can actually do a scrappy one if we choose. I am kind of doing a planned scrappy and only 3 blocks a month. I finished the first two months blocks and now am waiting for when we can start up again to work on it. It is a fun project and it will be fun to see how each person makes theirs as there will be no two alike.
