THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED NOW, but thank you for your interest!
. . . and a giveaway! But first, let me show you my block!
I know that many of you are joining us on this Block of the Month adventure from Jacquelynne Steves. Isn't this a fun quilt?
My blocks are looking so summery with these fabrics from my stash. Check out the block center for this month -- a lovely cup of tea with a friendly butterfly who came to call!
I used a machine blanket stitch for the applique, except for some places where a straight stitch was a little easier to handle. On the picture below, you can see the stem of the daisy was backstitched by hand, after the rest of the center was completed. I love how it turned out!
Here is a peek at part of the block, showing how the colors are playing together. Even the navy, which I was worried about at first (grin) is looking just right!
After the center is done, these pink, yellow and orange pieces frame it perfectly:
And here is the completed block:
I hope that you will click on the link and stop in to see Jacquelynne, over at her blog. Don't forget to check out what the other Cozy Afternoon bloggers are showing you this week, too!
