We've got a great giveaway today -- this will benefit your favorite shelter!
You will have a chance to win a great product that will ship directly to the shelter that you name, and you will be mentioned as the person who nominated them to receive the product!
What is it? It's the Stretch and Scratch, from our good friend, Joan Laisney, "The Scratcher Lady"!!
Check this out:
Scratchers fill many needs for the kitties in adoption centers and shelters . . .cats can relieve stress by using them, and they get a good stretch when the scratchers are installed high on the cage wall or door.
Here is what their creator, Joan Laisney says:
As a shelter volunteer, I saw lots of scratch marks on cage walls where cats tried to perform natural behaviors: stretching muscles, cleaning nails & scent marking with their paws. After months of testing, I created Stretch & Scratch pads. Easy to install & affordable, big enough for a good scratch & small enough to see into the cages, shelter cats can get the cage enrichment they need while waiting for adoption.
You can help your local shelters by giving them a heads up: tell them to add these to their wish list -- link their request from their site to the Scratcher site, and donors can order them to be sent directly to the shelters!
Joan is offering a case of twenty-five Scratchers to one shelter, randomly chosen from those nominated here on this post. She's also offering a discount for those who would like to order some Scratchers for the shelter or adoption center of their choice -- just use the promo code 10OFF and you will receive a ten percent discount on your purchase price!
Here at the Lilypad, we have a special place in our hearts for rescue pups and kitties . . . even now we have a little femme fatale who needs a home; we all are trying valiantly to find Bertie a furever home!
Moses (The Studio Cat), Padsworth and DragonDrop have put their heads together and Snoodles has helped, too, but so far, we haven't found a place for her. If all else fails, we'll take her to the no-kill shelter near us, and they will find a home for her; she is so little, and so affectionate -- someone will fall in love with her! See?
Now, let's get down to where the litter hits the box (sorry) and tell you how to enter this giveaway!
Leave a comment on this blog post nominating your favorite shelter or adoption center to receive the Scratchers. Tell us the name and location . . . Easy peasy! We'll leave the giveaway open for a week, and then ask Mr. Random to choose our winner.....but the discount code lasts till the end of August! Thanks, Joan!
Love,
I'm in love!!! She's really cute. How did you find her? Thank you so much for the discount code. I've been wanting to donate some scratchers =D

ReplyDeleteI would love a set of these to go to Caring Friends Cat Rescue in Long Beach, CA. A great no kill rescue where I got my fur baby from.
ReplyDeleteThis would be most appreciated by the volunteers and residents of The Manitouwadge Humane Society here in my hometown. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteOne of the best no kill shelters I know of is Forgotten Felines PO BOX 430

Wayside Waifs in Kansas City. It's the largest no kill shelter in the area and I still remember getting a kitten there back in the 70's. I'm sure they would love receiving the Stretch and Scratch as I'm sure the cats waiting for adoption would love them also. I wish I could adopt that sweet little fur baby but I've already got my two. Someone will fall in love with her and take her home.
ReplyDeleteYou can try putting the kitten on Craigslist for free, you'll probably find a home for her pretty quick. I'm not entering the giveaway, I'm not familiar with the shelters, cats always seem to find me! LOL
ReplyDeleteHumane Society of Memphis & Shelby - My daughter and her family have volunteered with this shelter. The Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County offers refuge, medical care, nourishment and an opportunity for a second chance at life to injured and abused animals.

I would love for a set to go to Caring Friends Cat Rescue in Long Beach - Yvette got her handsome TJ there, and he is such a love. They would definitely put them to good use there.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think you need another studio kitty. Just say'n.... She's adorable!
Anderson County PAWS, Anderson, SC
ReplyDeleteThey are a public intake shelter, but they are working very hard to improve! The county just built a new, state of the art shelter with great new animal areas and Climate control! The cats would love these! I've been making hammocks to fit the cages....it keeps most of them from sleeping in their litter boxes!
Thank you!
What a great giveaway! When we got our first house and our kids were little we went to adopt a dog. The shelter is Front Street Shelter, City of Sacramento, Ca.
ReplyDeleteThank you and Joan for a super giveaway and a chance to win.

Awesome giveaway! I would love to see these Scratchers go to Castaway Cats in Bear Delaware. These ladies are amazing in all their efforts to help stray cats and kittens. All cats and kittens are fostered with volunteers in their own homes then when ready for adoption, they are showcased in a couple of Local Pet stores. They also have the cats on their website (http://www.castawaycatsde.com/About-Us.html). Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would love some to go to the Oakville humane society in Oakville, Ontario Canada.
ReplyDeleteThey just helped me with a cat that had a litter in my garage and are fostering her. Just awesome!
Aaaah, little Bertie is SO cute! We already have two cats, but she's so cute, surely she'll be in a furever home soon. We've adopted almost all of our dogs and cats through the years from the Greenville Humane Society when it was on Furman Hall Rd..... now it's on Airport Rd. and the website says it is a no-kill shelter. The facility on Furman Hall seems to now be Greenville County Animal Care. I'm confused, but my sweet Sandy was adopted from the Furman Hall Rd. facility years ago and she was the best companion/friend I ever could've found. So whichever one is that original facility would be the one I'd like to receive the Scratchers. (Sorry this is so confusing) Thank you Snoodles!
