Another long-time friend and sponsor of our blog is providing a prize for the August Pets Show! Jacquelynne Steves is a talented designer and quilter, and she creates amazing watercolors and content over at her site. Click here to jump over there and see what's going on! (While you are there, check out the upcoming FREE BOM called Save the Bees!) We have participated in her wonderful Block of the Month parties in the past.... like Maggie's First Dance:
And also this one, called Cozy Afternoon, that I just loved:
Jacquelynne has a special friend, like many of us, who shares her quilting studio:
Isn't he a cutie? Takes his work very seriously, too!
In August, one of our lucky winners will be able to win two patterns! A total value of over $40! Jacquelynne is providing one "Maggie's First Dance" pattern and one "Sew Sweet Simplicity" pattern to one of our random winners!
August will be here soon! Hope you are getting your photos of Pets on Quilts ready!! Love,
We love our Pet Show sponsors! Hope you all are taking pictures of your pets on quilts, because the show is coming up soon, in August!!
A long-time sponsor of this blog, and of our show, too, is Green Fairy Quilts!
You may know about Green Fairy for a number of reasons....
Lots of yummy pre-cuts for quilting. What's your pleasure, jelly rolls, layer cakes, charm packs, honey buns? (Grin)
They have all of those, and lots of fabulous collections to browse among!
Do you like to start with bundles of coordinating fabrics? Judi has put together some great five-yard bundles for us to choose from!
Want some inspiration from a master long arm quilter? Check out Judi's blog for lovely examples of her work! I hope that you will head over to their site and spend a while, shopping their awesome selections. While you are there, sign up for their newsletter -- you will receive weekly notes detailing some super sales that they offer! Green Fairy quilts is known for their annual charity, too, when they deliver supplies and purchase IDs for the orphaned children in Romania, where Clint served some years ago. Without IDs, the government doesn't know they exist, and they can't get jobs when they are older, either. Clint and Judi are providing a prize for this year's show, too!
A gorgeous jelly-roll of "Enchanted" by Gingiber, for Moda. Beautiful! Thanks ever so much, Green Fairy Quilts! You are going to make one lucky winner very happy in August!

Have ya'll checked out some of the new classes on Craftsy? Oh my freaking goodness. So. Much. Fun. I love how we can watch and pause the class and come back in fifteen minutes, when the doggie decides that it was actually only a skunk, mom, and you don't need to come check this out after all.....

It's an interactive platform, with printables, questions and answers, and even posting of finished projects! Want to try it for a week for free? Yup, you can do that!Click here and check it out for a week. Watch ALL the classes you want to! Free for a week! There are SO MANY classes to choose from! Teachers like Carol Doak, Angela Walters, and Marti Mitchell......SO MANY techniques to watch and try along with the videos: piecing tips, paper piecing, free motion quilting, and (my current fav) quilting large projects on a standard machine!
Even if you don't think you want to subscribe, you might want to check it out for a week. You can cancel if you like -- but I have a feeling you are going to love it!! Just sayin! Love,
Well, it's been a long, difficult road! I don't do "sitting still" very well, as my family and friends know! I'm back on my feet now, and walking a little more each day! (I'm linking up today with SuperMom's stitchery party! Click here to see embroidery inspiration!) I sat down at my beloved vintage machine, Nora, and finished up these dish towels that I showed off recently. You may recall that the designs are from Mary Engelbreit....
I tried to use some colors that had a vintage feel....
And then I stitched some "rick-rack" on the edges, to give them that vintage, fifties-kitchen vibe!
I love how they turned out! I think I will start some more, for those times that I know are coming.... those times when I begin to hear from my foot that I've been up and around a little too much! (Grin)
More merriment and mayhem coming, folks, as we continue to let you know about sponsors for our August Pets Show, and I start some new projects, too! Love,
I feel apologies are in order...... Just realized that some recent changes from our dear friends at Blogger have made comments almost invisible to me! I depend on the alerts to know when y'all comment, and lately I haven't been getting those alerts! So, please don't feel slighted....
Leave that comment love, and I will do my best to answer -- I've heard that I'm not the only one with this problem, so hopefully Blogger will fix this! Love,
